Family Radio At It Again – “Judgement Day March 21, 2011″
December 3, 2010
Just when we thought Harold Camping and his “Family Radio Worldwide” ministry was through with predictions, we have a new grandstand. Interestingly enough, neither Camping or any one from the evangelical radio ministry has attached their name to this prediction which can be view on their website and downloaded in PDF format. No, this time the entire organization is the hook for this latest campaign. They also say that “the bible guarantees-it”.
If some of you can remember, back in 1994 Camping predicted that the world would came to an end in September of 1994. Camping wrote a book concerning the prediction as well. When Camping was asked by his listeners if there was a “back-up” date, He would state no emphatically, and maintain that the Bible declares that Sept. 1994 would be “the-end”. Well it’s 2010, and we’re all still here.
Camping’s radio ministry took a huge hit as a result of the failed prophesy, but they also got a significant windfall from faithful listeners who gave up their estates, and made huge contributions to the station with the end seeming inevitable. So Family Radio remained in operating shape, and began to rebuild and grow once again.
Personally, I was raised listening to Family Radio and became an avid supporter of the ministry in my late-teen and young adult years. I’ve always had my differences with Camping’s approach and perspective on the bible, but respected him nonetheless. I always thought him to be the strictest of any conservative as well. Then came 1994, and I was “shocked” to say the least that Camping had gone that far.
Even though I now no longer embrace Western Christianity, I still think of Family Radio fondly for the days when I enjoyed such musical programs like “Evensong”, “The Quite Hour”, and “Night watch” with Jerry Edinger. With this latest prediction of “Judgment-Day”, I am not only shocked, but saddened that Family Radio would go to the well for another round.
Truthfully, “end-time” predictions and such campaigns are nothing more than a means to promote more fear. This has seemed to be Christianities biggest tool. Even Jesus himself would tell the disciples to not be afraid or let their hearts be troubled when they see the signs of the times.
No, what we see is the evangelicals continually pronouncing “doom” and “judgment” on who they deem as “the-wicked”. They especially focus their attention on the gay community and those who do not subscribe to their interpretation of the bible. The truth is, that this world would a better place without such divisive thinking (us and them). It reminds me of the old bumper stick which states: “Lord Please Save Me From Your Follower..”

Stamping Out Harold Camping
Is Second Coming date-setter Harold Camping worthy of death? He already has a zero batting average after his September 1994 prediction fizzle and, according to the Bible, is a false prophet.
Nevertheless that California shaman, who should be ashamed, claims he’s found out that Christ’s return will be on May 21, 2011 even though Matt. 24:36 says that no one knows the “day” or “hour” of it!
A Google article (“Obama Fulfilling the Bible”) points out that “Deut. 18:20-22 in the Old Testament requires the death penalty for false prophets.”
The same article reveals that “Christians are commanded to ask God to send severe judgment on persons who commit and support the worst forms of evil (see I Cor. 5 and note ‘taken away’).”
Theologically radioactive Harold Camping and his ga-ga groupies (with their billboards featuring “May 21, 2011″) should worry about being “stamped out” if many persons decide to follow the I Cor. 5 command.
The above article concludes: “False prophets in the OT were stoned to death. Today they are just stoned!”

Churches never mention these verses that state the believers will know more than the unbeliervers like when christ will return, ask your minister what these verses mean! I am sure that he will not have an answer.
1 Thessalonians 5:
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

Daniel 12:
8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

1st, camping is a kooooooo koooooooooo head. Bible clearly states: ” no Men nor women shall know of time and day of the 2nd coming.” I guess Campling is neither. He must be a liar/thief/ false prophet – Bible clearly states to watch out for the false prophets – ex:Camping. Camping also states: It is now the end of the Church days – stop going to church and wasting your time – sounds like the devil himself would say that. Bible clearly states not to loose the 1st love and to gather together as it was before – specially the last days. Satan asked God : put Christians as far apart as possible – Jesus, on the other hand, had begged His Father not to do it – and it never happened. C A M P I N G I S A F A K E.
Where is the muslim with the loaded bazooka – I have a target – camping’s advertisement of the false date.

One verse Camping! Mark 13: 32.
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”
The Son- Jesus- doesn’t even know! Come on.

If this is wrong, how dare this group stain the promise that God gave us? We all know for sure that God will return for a holy people (read: the rapture).. but no one knows when.. instilling fear on this subject wouldn’t help us.
Or would it?
Maybe it IS time to turn against the works of evil in the world and become more holy? I mean let’s face it.. we are in a world that glorifies sex, violence, lies and evil in songs, movies, tv shows etc. What could be done? We must turn away from worldliness.. NOW. This is not how God wanted the world to be. We have all forgotten the old ways. God is the same yesterday and now. And when yesterday sin is intolerable, what more now?
you said in this posy: “Well it’s 2010, and we’re all still here.” <– this gave me the creeps. Why are we "still here"? maybe He raptures every 10 years and we're all "still here"?
lol
lets read up on the bible again and pray always
God bless
